Cancun
Cancun is America’s favorite choice for this fall. It’s no secret that it holds a special place in the hearts of American travelers. Between January and June this year, Americans accounted for 59.8% of all international arrivals at Cancun International Airport. About 3.4 million Americans visited Cancun by air this year. Playa del Carmen and Tulum recently broke all-time destination records, sharing some of the glory with neighboring beach destinations. Between June and August this year, the two cities received 822,000 visitors, breaking their 2019 record of 625,000.

However, work has recently stalled, and the project is not expected to be completed by December 2023.
Although Tulum has stunning beaches that make travelers dream of owning a beach villa, many travelers head to Tulum to enjoy its proximity to its famous ancient Mayan ruins. The ruins are located along the coast and make for a wonderful day trip from the resort.
Los Cabos
On the other side of the country, at the base of Baja California, Los Cabos, another beach destination, has seen significant growth. According to recent reports, Los Cabos International Airport received nearly 3.5 million passengers in the first six months of the year. This figure surpasses 2019 numbers by 19 percent.
While Cancun and the surrounding areas have been in the spotlight for years, Los Cabos is starting to enter the fray. The area is one of the top three vacation spots in Mexico. Likewise, Los Cabos was the second most popular destination this summer after Cancun.
