UUndoubtedly, the plague ripped through the so-called dress code. What is in question, however, is how the new laws relate to heat waves.
Can you quit crabs as the G7 leaders did recently? The dress, even? Are shorts considered to be worn at such extremes? And what about shoes? Here’s a guide to help you get rid of clutter.
do
Accept Urban shorts
Unless your employer has a strict dress code, urban shorts – tailored and cut or above the knee – are great ways to cool. American fashion designer Tom Brown is a fashion designer for men and women, but the high street also has many options.
Wear natural fabrics
Fortunately, temperature-controlled fashion is gaining momentum, with many women’s clothing brands offering a wide range of trousers, including Mark and Spencer, Mint Velvet and Zara.
Meanwhile, M&S has a variety of silk and linen garments for men, and John Lewis has a blend of linen and cotton-blend shirts. Cotton and silk are also your heat partners – look for pieces made of silk, fork or pattern, which will be better to hide any sweat crane.
Wear more casual shoes
Despite the hot weather, Philip Green is the breadwinner in Monaco. If your office allows a smart trainer, we recommend a smooth, minimalist approach to joint projects.
Grenson Quincy’s smart, hand-painted calf boots look unattractive at work. Women may want to pick sling and mules – not only do they expose a lot of legs, but they are easy to get under the table.
Don’t
Wear beachwear
Your main guideline for warm-up office wear is that anything you wear on the beach may not be appropriate for the workplace. Put on beach sandals, jelly shoes, caps, shorts and crop tops.
Wear more pieces than needed
For women, why hold yourself in different places when the clothes allow the air to flow freely around you? Need to wear sleeves though? A sleeveless dress eliminates the possibility of sweating.
For men, your work dress code allows you to wear a polo shirt or a light-weight T-shirt rather than a shirt and t-shirt, if you are wearing a suit (if you still want it).
Wear vest tops
Lightweight, trendy and summer staple – for men and women. But in the office, you will find them as vests above the maximum. The top of the West is clearly on the wrong side of the line for everyday wear in the workplace.
