The romantic stop is expected to open in November

The much-anticipated Love Journey stop and local store is expected to open in November, a company spokeswoman said.
Love’s media relations specialist Brett Dawson said the new Love’s location will open in 2018, weather permitting. It will open on November 9, 2023 at Highway 18, just off Interstate 85.
West Point Community Development Director Dennis Dutton said the work is progressing well.
“The construction has been maintained while GDOT [Georgia Department of Transportation] He worked extensively in the area and on the circuit. “I haven’t heard any issues with suppliers, but I think because they’re a big company, they probably had everything lined up, ready to go a year to two years ago,” Dutton said.
The $13.9 million project will include two restaurants, Hardee’s and Godfather’s Pizza, eight gas pumps at the local store, nine gas stations and a tire shop. The main structure will be 17,000 square feet, and the tire shop will be 13,000 square feet.
Dawson says that typically this amount of love adds up to 70 to 100 jobs in the community.
He also said that when the location opens, a $2,000 donation will be made as part of a donation to a local non-profit such as Love Society.
Dutton said the project has been a hot topic among the West Point City Council and local residents.
“It is something that we hope will bring great economic growth to our community. It’s a well-known brand, and it’s something you’ve been waiting for for over two years,” said Dutton.
Love Travel Stops and Local Stores is headquartered in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It was founded in 1964 and has more than 550 locations in 41 states. The stores provide professional truck drivers and drivers 24/7 access to “gasoline, diesel fuel, compressed natural gas (CNG), travel goods, electronics, snacks, restaurants and more.”
