McLaren Central Michigan has announced the appointment of two local business leaders to its Board of Directors.

The hospital announced the appointment of Cindy Jacobs and Lori Rogers to two-year terms ending January 31, 2025, at which time they will be eligible for reappointment.

The appointment comes as former board members Frank Cloutier, director of public relations for the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe, and Linda Kauffman, former executive director of Community Mental Health of Central Michigan, retire.

“Frank and Linda have been valuable board members for many years, and we are grateful for their leadership and insight,” said Robert David, president and CEO of McLaren Central Michigan. We are excited to welcome Cindy and Lori as we move toward our shared goal of serving the health care needs and overall well-being of the Central Michigan region.

Jacobs, director of enrollment and membership at Central Michigan University, where she has worked for 22 years, was born in Mount Pleasant and chose to raise her family in the city.

“McLaren is a big part of the Mount Pleasant community,” she said, “and I want to use my knowledge to help others take advantage of the sense of community that I’ve enjoyed throughout my life.

Rogers, a construction design consultant, joined the board because of his belief in becoming more involved in the community.

“I joined the board because I recognize the important role the hospital plays in the health of our community and I want to give back for all it has done for me and my family,” she said. “I hope to help the hospital grow to meet and exceed the needs of our community.”
