(Pocket-lint) – Lenovo is gearing up to release a new gaming phone, borrowing the Legion branding from its gaming laptop side – the Legion Y70.

The phone was It has been announced that it will be unveiled in China on August 18, 2022, and more information about it has been leaking before that presentation.

The latest information is that the phone is going to have a very powerful cooling system, which is always very important when gaming phones go into long gaming sessions.

It has a 5,047 square millimeter cooling chamber that’s half a millimeter deep, which spreads heat around to dissipate heat but doesn’t take up too much space or make the phone too bulky.

Now that we’re seeing phones with active cooling systems that include fans, it’ll be interesting to see if this passive can continue (if only without one).

The phone puts the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset at the forefront in terms of performance.

It’s slim and standard looking, with no shoulder buttons or RGB lighting, so it could be an attempt to connect the game to a mainstream audience.

We’ll know more when it’s officially revealed on August 18.
