Karlie Kloss received Shaw Metavers, a fashion designer at Closet, a televised hub for visitors to explore five pop-up shops featuring digital fashion collections in the community.

Kloss shared. Collaborate with Roblox community designers to help them expand and enhance their personal careers and highlight digital fashion and self-expression for the wider fashion community.

Each store is inspired by a unique fashion genre and some of the platform’s mega-popular virtual worlds.

Clos worked with five digital fashion designers on Roblox to help them create their custom theme collections, including digital clothing and accessories sold in pop-ups. In each store, users can take photos, learn layouts, and embellish their designs based on each designer’s collection.

“I have always loved fashion and technology, and I truly believe that digital fashion plays a big role in the development of the industry,” said 29-year-old fashion model and entrepreneur. “The Roblox and digital designers community is changing the way they express themselves online without being restricted by the physical world.

“There is a lot of potential for what could be the experience in meters,” she told WWD on Monday. “Today, Robolox is a platform with 50 million active users every day, community members who meet every day to meet, create and express their opinions. Fashion is a big part of how we express ourselves every day. It’s a lot, but now it’s a lot, ”Clos said. That’s why she said she wanted to work with Roblox to create this designer showcase that enhances the creative community designs on Roblox.

Kloss appreciates how the digital fashion industry is democratizing. “I am a Missouri boy, I would never have had a chance to touch him if I had not been a model in my career, I would have worn a very small couch. There is something very powerful about democratic digital access and the way you can access fashion with digital experience, ”said Clos.

Over the past two years, Clos has grown up playing and learning the right way.

“I love games. My three sisters and I were always growing up and playing every video game, and we had very few female characters and very limited fashion to play and buy. She says she strongly believes in STEM (Science, Tech, Engineering and Math) to create ways for young women to create free enrollment camps for girls in the United States.

She believes that one of the reasons why one has not yet been able to see enough creativity at this intersection is because “there are not enough people with technical skills in fashion?”

“I think it lacks a feminist perspective.

During CV-19, Klos spent a lot of time learning Roblox’s platform and designers and getting to know them and their design process. “Some designers have been on stage for eight years,” she said. They are now designing clothes and making thousands, if not millions, of dollars. She said the creative community has earned more than $ 500 million by 2021. Roblox started in 2006.

When I think about the industry we work in, we connect and work together and we are inspired by the next generation of designers. It is a very difficult business. I think about how to connect these two worlds between physical fashion and digital fashion, there is a huge business opportunity for design talent and there is a huge demand for consumers because we live and collaborate in these virtual spaces, ”said Clos.

Right now it’s just imaginary clothes, but physical clothing is a short distance away, she said. “This is what the creators are thinking and what the consumers want,” says Clos.

After meeting with several community entrepreneurs, Kloss has personally selected each designer for collaboration, and has supported each of them over the past several months to help bring their vision to life. Designers have created their collections using state-of-the-art fabrication technology that is suitable for any type of model. The sale of each piece goes directly to the creators.

There are people who own Robux and can buy the goods for free. You can go into the pop-ups and win items for free and try on clothes and take photos in photo boxes. “Shared content is a big part of how people really express themselves,” Clos said. “I connect my audience to Roblox’s innovations,” she told me. Asked if she was helping the five creators financially, she said the barriers to entry were much lower than in the real world. “You need the tools and skills to be a designer on Roblox, but you’re creating a code line instead of thread and fabric,” she said.

“The industry does not understand the role that fashion plays in gaming and metaphysics, and I think this discussion is just the beginning. There is a lot of thought about how to connect these two worlds.” “I’m really looking forward to helping these designers grow and introduce them to my audience as well as the fashion industry.

Clos collaborated with designers Builder Boy, Lovespun, Reverse Polarity, RynityRift and Urius, all of whom she said were individually successful.

  • The builder’s son is receiving Art Deco vibes in Mermaid’s life.
  • Loveves brings the Rococo store to life in Roblox High School 2.
  • The reverse polarization takes the Gothic era, but with a pop-up in the fame of fashion celebrities.
  • RynityRift is creating a cyberpunk sky in RoBeats.
  • Urius took him to the west but in Livetopia she appeared to be in a state of shock.

“The fashion industry has a lot to teach digital fashion. But digital fashion has a lot to do with the fashion industry, ”said Roblocks founder Samuel Jordan Builder Boy. “Working with Carly, we learned from each other. This is the best way to create.

Christina Woton, vice president of Roblox International Partnership, said: “Digital fashion plays an important role in the expression of self-expression in our society. Our daily active users update their avatar every day.

“Carly has been an inspiration and role model for young women at STEM for many years, and this new collection of fashion and technology is the culmination of the next generation of digital fashion designers. It will enable designers to build their work and grow their global customers, Wootton said.

Regarding Claus’ own movement in the Meters, she said, her model looks very similar to hers. “She is very tall,” says Clovis.

“I love playing cookies and playing games around Gucci Gardens, I think this is a wonderful experience. There are so many exciting things Gucci has done. Tommy Hilfiger started the world on Roblox. We are beginning to see these two worlds clash and it is just beginning. Investing and promoting the design community in the playground is an important part of caring for this community. People who are trained in these skills are more likely to be successful. ”

“We focus on creating ways for young people to learn technical skills at Code Klosi and they can be implemented the way they want. Some are building games, some are building apps that have a positive impact on their communities, some are using their technical skills to fight for social justice or voting rights or create code opportunities for their peers.” I think nurturing this community is an important part of continuing to invest in digital fashion in the future.

Going forward, she said she has many ideas to introduce designers and design houses to these digital spaces. “There are great business opportunities, but many more people can motivate and influence them,” says Clovis.

“Fashion should be for everyone. The truth of the matter is whether it’s price point or geography. You can’t always find the best in fashion. At Roblox, I want to create a space where this is possible.” She said.

The Fashion Klossette Designer Show is live until Tuesday, July 25th.
