Similarly, a short video was posted on JW Anderson’s Instagram of a man trying on the new frog-faced mule, with no caption this time.

These posts have unsurprisingly generated a lot of reactions on social media. Musician Sam Smith commented on JW Anderson’s post with “shout out,” followed by fellow singer Erykah Badu who simply wrote “Need.” On Anderson’s personal Instagram, actor Dan Levy commented with an exclamation point, and male model RJ King added, “Yes plz!”

The style, which looks like it’s made of green rubber, was created in collaboration with British footwear brand Wellipet, and features eyelets on the front and a small red tongue-like detailing.

Wellpets, known for its original frog wellington boots, is committed to “restoring and protecting” frog habitat ecosystems, according to its website. In the year Founded in England in 1983, Wellipet considers itself the first rain boot to combine the traditional Wellington rain boot design with a playful element, the frog.

In the year It’s the latest viral animal-like item from Andersen to get a dove-shaped clutch bag in 2022. The bag was recently spotted with “And Just Like That” actress Sarah Jessica Parker while filming the second season of the hit HBO Max show in New York City in October.

The new shoe style could be a sneak peek of what the designer will debut this weekend at Milan Men’s Fashion Week, when JW Anderson will show his new collection on Sunday, January 15.
