Cruise Planners has announced that it will join the Signature Travel Network starting September 29.

The travel agency franchise network previously had an 18-year relationship with the American Express travel agency program, which ends in December. Signature Cruise Planners focuses heavily on industry-leading technology, marketing and training programs to enhance their offerings.

The decision to join the signature came down to the shared values ​​that Cruise Planner’s 2500 strong domestic travel agent network believes will enhance their customers’ travel experience.

“This is welcome news and we feel strongly that this is the right direction for our company,” said Michelle Fee, CEO of Cruise Planners. “Signature programs are amazing and we feel the essence of the pillars we hold ourselves to is reflected in their company as well.”

Signature says, “There are many additional programs Signature offers that enhance the Cruise Planners brand and provide advisors with additional support to grow their business.

Cruise Planners was founded in 1994 and is the nation’s largest home-based travel agency franchise network. In July, the company unveiled an automated SMS texting program that allows travel advisors to send various marketing communications and travel updates to their customers via text message.

Earlier this month, Vicky Garcia, Cruise Planners’ chief operating officer and associate partner, passed away after an illness, the company said. Garcia was one of the most popular and influential figures in all of the expeditions and was admired for her tenacity and forward thinking.
