Instacart celebrates 10 years with Anwar Karot’s fashion collection.

As Instacart completes a decade in business, the popular grocery app has dropped a trendy summer collection with in-demand streetwear designer Anwar Carrots.

Street fashion (and vegetable) fans rejoice: a carrot-themed collection drops today from streetwear designer and entrepreneur Anwar Carrot and grocery delivery service Instacart.

The four-piece set by Carrot is designed with summer in mind, and includes a tote bag, water bottle, long-sleeve t-shirt and bucket hat.

“As a father of three, with one on the way, my life can get very busy, so we’ve used Instacart for years when we’re in a pinch and need anything from dinner tonight to diapers for the kids,” Anwar Carrots told The Drum. “When Instacart approached me about this concept for a collaboration, I immediately lit up. Not only is Instacart a company I love, but we have a shared love for Carrods, which naturally inspired the creation of the capsule collection.”

Credited by the Los Angeles Times for bringing “streetwear forward” and featured in Tyler’s creative debut single Yonkers, Carrots launched LA brand Peas & Carrots in 2015. In 2007, he co-founded comedy with rapper Casey Vedge. Peas & Carrots continues to be hailed as “LA’s coolest brand” by Complex and a “global phenomenon” by Hypebeast. In the year In 2015, he launched his own label, Carrots by Anwar.

The limited edition collection of Instacart and Carrots will be sold exclusively on leading live streaming marketing app NTWRK on August 5 hosted by Anwar. The limited edition collection will be available to viewers in the LA area for $100 and will be delivered the same day via Instacart. Up to $10,000 of sales proceeds will be donated to Feeding America, a nonprofit organization focused on hunger relief.

Rogelio Magagna, director of brand strategy and campaigns at Instacart, said: “At its core, this collection with Anwar celebrates our mutual affinity for the carrot icon and connects the Instacart brand to our audience in a traditional way. “Together, we’re reaching the next generation of Instacart consumers in unique and relevant ways — where they are, where they shop and how they consume content.”

The partnership comes as Instacart celebrates ten years in business this year. According to a blog post by Instacart CEO Fiji Simo in May, the partnership represents one of Instacart’s future ambitions to “help retailers and brand partners grow their businesses.”
