Georgia Tech football made another move to their fans today and added a seasoned coach with SEC experience.
John Heavy, the former Florida Gators and Mississippi State offensive line coach, is set to join the Yellow Jackets as a consultant, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
This is another exciting addition to the Yellow Jackets’ support staff, who hired Jim Chaney as an analyst this offseason after stints as offensive coordinator with Georgia and Tennessee.
Heavis has been coaching college football for a long time and it will be interesting to hear more about that role and what exactly he will do for the Yellow Jackets this season.
The offensive line will be a key piece for the Georgia Tech football team this fall, and Heavy could be another voice to help that position play well.
