George Santos has business ties to hush-money deal fixer Stormy Daniels, cousin of Russian oligarch, reports

Rep. George Santos, who rejected calls to resign over undisclosed lies in the report, reportedly has business ties to Michael Cohen, the cousin of a sanctioned Russian oligarch and former Trump lawyer. Movie star Stormy Daniels.

Citing court documents and video footage of the hearings, The Washington Post reported that Santos’ relationship with Andrew Interter extended beyond the maximum $5,800 Federal Election Commission filings show Interter and his wife each contributed to the main congressional campaign committee and tens of thousands of other people. Committees connected with him from 2020.

While Santos is under investigation for alleged campaign finance violations, the Post argued that the evidence of the congressman’s and internet business ties is the first time Santos has entered politics in 2020.

Interair is the cousin of Russian tycoon and Kremlin insider Viktor Vekselberg, who has been sanctioned by the US government for supporting Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.

Although Intrater is a US citizen, his investment company Columbus Nova, an oligarch with a net worth of $6 billion, took Vekselberg’s Congressional Renova Group as a major client in 2018, for the first time in a role in the Russian energy sector named by the Treasury Department.

Columbus Nova has since been known as Sparrow Capital.

Post filed a Securities Exchange Commission complaint against Harbor City Capital, where Santos worked for more than a year. The Post says the intraterrior, who was indicted by regulators in Florida federal court as a Ponzi scheme, pumped hundreds of thousands of dollars into Harbor City.

Interair’s dealings with Cohen, who he hired as a fixer to identify potential business deals, are being investigated by special counsel Robert Mueller as he investigates allegations of Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election. Neither Interter nor Vekselberg have been charged with any wrongdoing in Mueller’s investigation.

Unrelated to Intrater, Cohen pleaded guilty to congressional, bank fraud and campaign finance violations before turning himself in to the House Oversight Committee in 2019.

In the year At the 2020 Zoom meeting, Santos said intranet company Columbus Nova is his “client” when discussing investor concerns about the luxury residential real estate tower at 432 Park Street in Manhattan. He received a $625,000 deposit from Port City’s FEA Innovations, a Mississippi-based company that exclusively lists Intrater, according to an exhibit included in the SEC complaint, The Post reported. In the year In 2021, Santos founded his own consulting business, Devolder, LLC.

A recent complaint filed by two Democratic congressmen against Santos with the House Ethics Committee alleges that he contributed $705,000 to his own campaign. The complaint accuses Santos of being a “straw donor,” suggesting that he could have turned donations from unknown individuals or corporations into Devolder’s own income. He did not disclose his earnings from Harbor City, although the congressman was paid by that organization as recently as April 2021, the Post reported.

Fox News Digital spoke to Santos’ communications director and personal attorney Tuesday. His congressional office said it does not comment on campaign or personal matters. A lawyer for Santos did not immediately receive a response.
