– The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has added two members to its board of trustees: Dr. Helen D. Gayle, president of Spelman College, and Ashish Dhawan, founder of the Convergence Foundation.

Gayle previously served as director of the Foundation’s HIV, TB and Reproductive Health Program. She was also president and CEO of the Chicago Community Trust.

Dhawan also heads India-based Ashoka University and the Central Square Foundation, an education non-profit organization in India. It is based in New Delhi.
