Alison Holder She has announced her commitment to swim and attend Florida Institute of Technology this coming fall. Holder is finishing her senior year at Arbor View High School in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Holder trains year-round and competes with the Nevada Sandpipers under Coach. Michael Kinross. She has a Futures qualifying time in the 200 breaststroke, but also swims the IM and freestyle events.

Many of Holder’s personal best times came from the Lamirada classes last December. She had a top finish in the 200 breaststroke, where she swam more than three seconds off her best time, posting a 2:20.78, good for 18th overall. She dropped more than half a second in the 200 IM (2:09.84) and 100 free (53.45).

Last spring, Holder led her high school team to the finals of the 2022 Nevada 4A High School State Championship. She took home the state title in the 50 free with a personal best time of 24.52 and finished second in the 100 breast with a personal best time of 1:06.38.

Florida Tech is an NCAA Division II program located in Melbourne, Florida. The Panthers will compete in the Sunshine State Conference after finishing 6th out of 7 teams this season. Holder is poised to make an immediate impact against Florida Tech at the conference level, as her best time in the 200 breast will comfortably qualify her for the A-finals this year.

Florida Tech did not qualify for the 200 breast final. Their highest winning streak was second place. Emma KeeganHe took 19th in 2:28.52. In addition to the 200 breast, Holder was the team’s top performer in the 100 breast and 400 IM this past season.

Holder joins Elizabeth Beer, Braley Wescott., Tori WhitbeckAnd Sam Bullard Incoming class at Florida Tech. The class is made up of five different states, with Holder hitting the team’s only breast.
