BREWARD COUNTY • Melbourne, Florida – The Florida Tech Women’s Rowing Team has been recognized as the winners of the 2021-22 National Scholars’ Athletics Award by the College College Paddle Coaches Association.

Abigail Smith (Aerospace Engineering) has been recognized for the second consecutive season, and Simona Vilensky (Aerospace Engineering) has been recognized for the first time.

CRCA National Scholar-Athlete Award Student-Athletes must be in second, third or fourth year proficiency, at least 70% of the regular season and / or conference / national championships. They have a total of 3.50 GPA or higher for their profession.

“I’m very proud of these two scholars: athletes.” Head coach Adam Torstad said: “They have shown great commitment on and off the water. I look forward to continuing to see success in all areas.
