If you were to fly from Washington DC to Paris, Google Flights shows TAP as the cheapest option.
However, keep in mind that Google Flights tends to display fares from third-party booking sites, which may vary in price. If you register directly on the TAP website, you will pay $380 instead of $364.
The deals offered only apply to basic economy, which can feel particularly restrictive on long-haul international flights. TAP’s Basic Economy, known as Discount Fare, comes with additional charges for passengers’ meals, personal items and baggage – checked baggage and seat selection.
Seat selection starts at $19 each way. The most expensive seats will cost you $115. Adding checked bags to your shopping cart also costs $85 each way, so if you decide to bring a bag, you’ll pay an additional $170.
