Dress for Success New Orleans will host its 13th annual Suits and Salad Luncheon on Friday, March 17. During the event, attendees will hear from keynote speakers Swin Cash and Shanika Henderson, enjoy a fashion show with collections from local boutiques and celebrate the customer. & Volunteer of the Year. The luncheon was co-chaired by Rena Jolly and Krista Schwartz.

“I am beyond honored to host this year’s Suet and Salad Luncheon,” said Rena. Prostration.. “The incredible generosity of those who attended and supported the luncheon will allow more women in our community to access critical job development resources and gain economic independence. They can get involved in the community.”

Rena’s favorite part of the luncheon is the combination of fashion and listening to speakers share their journeys and the impact that dressing for success has had on their lives. “The whole class has come together and it’s beautiful to see women helping women.” This year’s fashion show looks from Monomine, Pilot & Powell, BABE, Angelique and jewelry by Reagan Charleston Jewelry. “These generous stores sponsored the fashion show and their contribution meant a great deal to the success of the luncheon.”

Through donations, Dress for Success provides women with tools for interviews and the workplace, as well as development tools to help women grow professionally and beyond. “Dress for Success offers interview skills along with basic computer training classes, career development skills-enhancing retention programs, and executive skills,” Krista explains. “This is in addition to ongoing individual mentoring and regular meetings to support their community on a number of challenging topics designed to support women in the workplace, including personal financial education and stress management. Agencies.”

Krista has supported the organization since 2016 and says she believes in its mission. “The personal success stories of individual clients in the program are heartwarming. Hearing how adversity turns into strength is incredibly inspiring.”
