Cross Country 2022 Schedule Announced – Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

The plates – The Georgia Tech men’s and women’s cross country programs announced the 2022 track and field schedule Monday. The six-meet regular season begins Sept. 1 when the Jackets compete in the Berry Open, starting at 7 p.m. on the Berry 2k grass loop in Mount Berry, Ga.

“We’re excited to be back in contention,” said coach Allen Drosky. “Every school year and every season is a new beginning. This year, in Pennsylvania, we will challenge ourselves with some amazing out-of-state competitions, along with a strong regional meet in Huntsville. We also get some good opportunities domestically.

Following the season opener, the Jackets head to the North Alabama Invitational on Sept. 16 in Huntsville, Ala. The Alexander Asics Invitational on Oct. 1 in Fairburn, Ga. The White and Gold at Penn State National Open on Oct. 14 in University Park, Pa. and the Berry Invitational on Oct. 15 in Mount Berry wrap up the regular season with another split weekend. Ga. to schedule the regular season.

Both the men’s and women’s ACC championships will be held Oct. 28 in Earlysville, Va. It will be hosted by Virginia. The NCAA South Regional for the second consecutive season is Nov. 11 in Huntsville, Ala. The NCAA Championships are set for Nov. 19 in Stillwater, Okla.

Drosky added, “We can finally make sure we deliver our strongest teams to our critical teams in the postseason.”

Tech finished the 2021 cross country season in the NCAA South Region. Though one of the Jackets’ most decorated running backs in school history is gone. Nicole FegansTech brings back famous actors Liz Galarza through women and James Cragan For the men’s team, among others.
