Calzedonia comes to Paris Fashion Week – WWD

Narrow space. Grupo Calzedonia is coming to Paris Fashion Week.

The Verona, Italy-based hosiery, underwear and swimwear group plans to host an event on September 26 titled “Calzedomania – A Celebration of Feet,” which will be the first time it will showcase its footwear overseas and also debut during Fashion Week.

It is working with the event organizer Villa Eugénie on the show at the Palais Brongniart, which supports a traditional catwalk format that supports “a completely immersive brand experience in the celebration of the iconic clothing: tights,” is in the product description.

The stock exchange featured brands including former home, landmark Fendi, Raf Simons and off-white.

“The confident atmosphere of Calzedonia takes guests, a host of global influencers and celebrities on an incredible journey to discover the style of the brand and its image,” said Calzedonia.

The group, which owns brands including Calzedonia, Intimissimi and Falconeri, has more than 2,150 stores in 53 countries, including 215 boutiques in France.

Calcedonia has previously held events in Italy, including the Calcedonia Foot Show held in Verona in 2017, attended by Julia Roberts, then brand ambassador. Meanwhile, in Guests included Sarah Jessica Parker at the 2013 Calzedonia Forever Together Summer Show in Rimini, Italy.

Grupo Calzedonia announced last week that it is entering the luxury world by buying a majority stake in Italian fashion label Antonio Marras. The group expects revenue of 2.5 billion euros in 2021, a 29.1 percent increase from 2020’s 1.94 billion euros. Compared to 2019, sales increased 3.9 percent.
