Gondar Livestock Fire District Randy Carrer, director of the Gold Breeding Fire District, was nominated by the Arizona Fire Chiefs Association to receive the Bob Weber Lifetime Achievement Award. This award recognizes firefighters who have worked their lives for the Arizona Fire Department. Carr was selected for the Northwest Fire Department Brad Bradley and Tucson Fire Chief Chuck Ryan for his work to improve fire services not only in the greater Tucson area but also around the state.

Free Restaurants Arizona: Kimberly Smith, Fry’s Food Stores Arizona Pharmacist Practice Coordinator, has been recognized as one of the “Best Women in Grocery” by Progressive Grocer Magazine in 2022 by the National Food retailer. The National Award recognizes women in grocery stores who have achieved outstanding success both in and out of the office. Smith, Tucson Transplant, is responsible for overseeing 22 South Arizona pharmacy locations, providing patient care support, facilitating pharmacy practice programs, and ensuring compliance. In addition, Smith serves as a Free Class Patient Care Specialist to assist in the imprint of Pharmacy Practice initiative and quality patient outcomes. Smith is a veteran pharmacist with more than 18 years of industry experience. Smith serves as a professor and assistant faculty member at Arizona Pharmacy College and is a member of the Arizona Pharmacy Association’s Continuing Education Committee and the Brooklyn College Technician Curriculum Committee.
