Valley City State University (VCSU) announced today that Erica Buchholz will serve as the next Vice President for Business Affairs (VPBA). Buchholz was appointed on an interim basis earlier this year. Erica Buchholz

“Erica is a great addition to our leadership team,” said VCSU President Alan LaFave. “We are fortunate to have her skills and perspective at the table, and I am excited to fill this role for our campus. During her work in the Business Office, we have had seven consecutive years of clean financial audits. Her leadership, attention to detail, and vision for our university It helps lead the way.”

The VPBA is responsible for managing all business and facilities operations and is a key member of the President’s Cabinet.

Buchholz attended VCSU and earned a degree in management business administration. In the year She joined the VCSU team as an accounting assistant in the fall of 2010 and has been a leader ever since. In the year She was promoted to the position of Supervisor in 2014 and served as President of the Labor Senate from 2019 to 2020.

This summer, VCSU successfully completed six audits and the campus facilities department has overseen several projects. This includes improving air handling systems, improving climate control systems and improving various academic studies in the campus.
