CHARLOTTE — Charlotte-based Atrium Health has partnered with Best Buy Co. Inc. in an effort to enhance patient care through its hospital-at-home program.

That program launched in 2020 as a way to address a surge in patients during the height of the pandemic. It has since evolved and is now a way for health-care workers to see patients with cardiac conditions, COPD, pneumonia, asthma, various infections and other medical and post-operative conditions.

Dr. Rasu Shrestha, chief innovation and commercialization officer at Advocate Health, said the partnership with Best Buy Health takes advantage of Atrium’s position as a leader in telemedicine and a patient population of nearly 3 million people, as well as BBH’s expertise in the omnichannel, supply chain, in-home support and “Caring Center” support and services.
