While Michaela felt uninspired by the Glasgow Lounge’s snack selection, Joey felt spoiled by the NYC selection.

Mikhaila was not inspired by the Thanksgiving snacks in Glasgow’s First Class lounge, which included fruit, oatmeal, muesli bars and muffins. Considering the price of her train ticket, she assumed there would be a wider variety of options or the possibility of ordering fresh food.

She also noticed that there were two mini-fridges with water bottles and sodas inside, but one of the doors was broken and still in use. There were also two coffee machines, one of which was marked “out of use”.

Meanwhile, Joey marveled at the wide selection of treats in the Amtrak lounge, including Kind bars, cookies, popcorn, chips and candy. A frozen section is stocked with additional snacks like chips and hummus. There were also free drinks like coffee, iced tea, and citrus infused water. The drink was caught when a waiter served a snack at a snack bar.

As Joy waited for her train in the peaceful comfort zone with the free meal, she thought it was fine, but she wouldn’t pay $50 if she traveled in business class.
