All-Star Game MLB Fashion: Ranking the 10 looks from the red carpet

Baseball fashion may not be known for trends like the NBA, or the growing new fit for AT like the NHL, or the bold and exciting types like the WNBA, but MLB players have come a long way in recent years. years. We rarely get the chance to see them in harmony, so we have to respect their hard work.

Shohei Ohtani is very good at baseball. He could have milked something. Instead, he has the nerve to pretend it is. He’s giving off a “I’m a little dangerous, like ‘I could be Vincenzo Cassano’s right-hand man’ level of danger” (shout out to the K-drama fans out there). –Camilla Hinkson

Yes, she would have hoped that Shohei would at least show some mercy to the other players. It’s gone Field, the answer is no. At first glance and in some light, this looks like a classic but straightforward fit from the reigning AL MVP. Once I saw the color palette – a smoky teal dress and a safari green sweater with brown leather accents – it was game over. California is the perfect definition of cool. – Cassie Borowski

It should come as no surprise that Ohtani has graced the pages of GK, rocking the red carpet. However, he absolutely crushed it, just like the first pitch he saw from Clayton Kershaw a few hours later. – Lauren Comer

2. Martin Perez (Texas Rangers)

In this case, Martin Perez took a big risk and it paid off. The pattern, the cut, the accessories – it’s all perfect, and you can tell he feels incredible in it, which makes it that much better. Bad Bunny probably already forwarded this post to the stylist (as he should). – KB

I generally don’t like floral designs but I love this look because I can’t take my eyes off it. Despite the optical illusion, it’s clear that the jacket and pants fit perfectly. I don’t think I like the shoes, but that’s okay. –K.H

3. Santiago Espinal (Toronto Blue Jays)

Santiago Espinal may have been a late addition to his star game, but he came prepared. He kept the dialogue small but breezy and let the bubblegum rose speak for itself. This is a veteran thing! – KB

4. Dansby Swanson (Atlanta Braves)

I’m not sure if this ensemble would look good on anyone else, but Dansby does it really well. I see you, a perfect curl hanging above his right eye and Mal Pudge in that dress. – K.H

You have to celebrate the double-breasted dress, and Dansby does it right here, with a peach-brown color and suede boots. – L.C

T-5 Starling Marte (New York Mets)

This is a common occurrence of knowing what you are dealing with and respecting it accordingly. The color and fit of the suit, the arrangement of those chains, the sunglasses. this is. – KB

It was pretty sweet in LA Tuesday, so you can’t fault Starling for skipping his shirt. He nailed this look and topped it off with just the right amount of glittery accessories. – L.C

T-5 Byron Buxton (Minnesota Twins)

Again we have a loud-ass colored man. I’m into aquamarine. Someone sent me one of the men’s jackets in a women’s size (as a joke). – K.H

The family coordination here is just *chef’s kiss* from the kids’ jackets to the accents on the white dress. Byron associates it with a perfectly tailored suit with subtle, interesting textures and colors that complement the environment. – L.C

7. Sandy Alcantara (Miami Marlins)

Another aspect I think is made by the person, not the clothes. Very simple, classic colors, but it looks great. – K.H

A modern take on traditional dressing will suffice, but the deep teal and subtle design (see tweet above) takes this to another level. There is a joke about throwing heat here, but I don’t do it. – KB

It’s simple and elegant with great details (belts!) and we have to give it some points for family coordination. – L.C

8. Julio Rodriguez (Seattle Mariners)

Julio Rodriguez was the breakout star of the Home Run Derby and did not disappoint in his follow-up performance. This silk ensemble is distinguished by a paisley print that is just as confident as it feels fitting. – KB

Rodriguez right feel like Like a man who announced himself to the league in a big way in Monday night’s derby, right? Purple-gray ensemble and necklace and sunglasses are very cool. – L.C

T-9 Dustin (Houston Astros)

I love his color scheme and energy clash, and the platinum accessories are a great touch. Dusty is already in the post-season on the fashion front. – KB

Don’t really like the tie but the jacket is great. And I have to give Dusty props for coming up with a suit to wear on all his fellow coaches. I can’t root for him. – K.H

T-9 Tim Anderson (Chicago White Sox)

You can always count on Tim Anderson to do his thing and do it very well. It was a dressier look than the others, but the Louis Vuitton sneakers and tailored bling really did it for me. – L.C

Every year, one of the best parts of the ASG red carpet is the races, and we’d be remiss if we didn’t show some love. Of course, 20 years from now, we’ll hear some of their names called in the MLB draft and ask again how we got so old.
