All Rise’s interim CEO is now full-time.

Paige Hendricks Buckner, interim CEO of AllRise, has now stepped down “interim,” according to a post on the nonprofit’s blog.

Hendricks Buckner joined the organization, which supports women founders and funders, as chief of staff in early 2022 and served as interim CEO following the resignation of former CEO Mandela SH Dixon in January. Before joining Buckner AllRise, Hendricks worked with Dixon at Founder’s Gym, an online training for underrepresented founders.

As of January, the nonprofit had raised $11 million in funding and was operating regional chapters in New York, Boston, Los Angeles, Chicago and Washington, D.C., and was working on one in Miami.

Since taking the helm, Hendricks Buckner has relaunched the VC Cohorts program for partner and venture capital investors in late January, expanded our VC Championship Mentoring Program, and launched our first national Black and Latinx Media Masters Program. he said in a blog post.

In Hendricks Buckner’s own blog post, All Raise has 24,000 people in its network and is “passionate about building community.” Heidi Patel, a VC cohorts volunteer, also wrote in All Raise’s blog post, “We need someone. It can break down barriers, build bridges across deep divides, and provide pure joy in the challenging work we do together. I was in the trenches with Paige – she brings all that and more.

As colleague Natasha Mascarnhas noted in her January story, the nonprofit has goals including increasing the amount of funding given to female founders from 11 percent to 23 percent by 2030 and increasing the percentage of women decision-makers at American companies by 2028. .

Hendricks Buckner told TechCrunch that AllRise is “not just an organization, it’s a movement,” and those were “aspirational goals for everyone in the ecosystem.” In order for a nonprofit to successfully move forward and grow, all growth works in three buckets:

• Infrastructure: building strong internal and external foundations.
• Community and Programming: Hendrix Buckner is on a seven-city tour to visit with all of its chapters and community members in San Francisco, “to clarify what our strategy will look like in the coming years. There are also currently active programs for VC partners and principals, as well as the VC Summit in October.
• Storytelling: All Rise is bringing the newspaper and certain events back to life physically and imaginatively. “We started our ‘Power Talks’ with some amazing heavy hitters,” says Hendrix Buckner. “Lots and lots of big jobs in the coming months.”

AllRise is also completing a check-writer investigation and new information will be released in a few months, Hendricks Buckner said.

Now in her sustainability role, Hendricks Buckner said she and her team of 10 “can be clear about where we’re going.”

Hendricks Buckner added: “We really like long-term and intergenerational change.” “For us, that means we’re interested in moving money, changing culture, and changing power. I also approach what I believe is my superpower in building and expanding communities. There’s a lot of good work that we can do with our community and get it done.”
