A car crashed off Highway 50 into the Rancho Cordova business park. A dog died, 2 people were injured

RANCHO CORDOVA – A dog is dead and two people are in critical condition after a car crash on Highway 50 in Rancho Cordova Monday morning.

According to Sacramento Metro Fire, just before 7 a.m. a car crashed off the freeway.

He then struck several trees before coming to a stop against a vacant building in the 10900 block of Sun Center Drive.

First responders took the two occupants of the car to the hospital. Both are said to be in critical condition. The dog was pronounced dead by medics, Metro Fire said.

What caused the car to crash on Highway 50 is under investigation.
