Bench coach Joe Espada, first-base coach Omar López and hitting coach Troy Snitker re-joined the Astros on Sunday after a three-game absence due to “health and safety protocols.”

It is unclear whether any of the men tested positive for COVID-19, but “health and safety protocols” is the Astros’ vague way of describing anything concerning the virus.

Quality control coach Dan Firova and pitching coach Bill Murphy are still away from the team with the same “health and safety protocol” designation.
