William Ambrose has seen hard times during his decade running Bradco Chair Co. in Lisbon, but he has persevered and prospered, and for that he was named Maine’s Small Business Person of the Year this week.

Ambrose bought the company 10 years ago from Bob Bradbury, son of founder Alton Bradbury. Now the company offers handmade wooden chairs in many styles as well as stools, tables, chairs and beds.

Although typos and errors have been corrected, the material used in retrospect has been prepared in the same way as the original.
