Reeves, Trahan received certification

The AORN defines the RNFA as a surgical registered nurse who collaborates with the surgeon and members of the healthcare team to achieve better patient outcomes. Through a rigorous RNFA education and certification process, Reeves and Trahan have acquired the necessary knowledge, experience and skills to successfully serve in this expanded role. As RNFAs, both serve under the direction of the physician, providing an extra pair of highly skilled hands to ensure that the patient is given total quality care during surgery.

Reeves has been a member of WCCH’s patient care team for over 22 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from McNeese State University, as well as Advanced Life Support (ALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) credentials.

Trahan joined WCCH in 2008 after eight years as a public school teacher. She earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing and health and human performance from McNeese State University. Trahan holds certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR).

Hale was selected First Vice President of LOA

Dr. Steven HaleAn orthopedic surgeon with Orthopedic Center in Lake Charles has been elected first vice president of the Louisiana Orthopedic Association. Next year, he will rise to the position of president.

Hale is originally from Lake Charles and has 14 years of farming experience. He received his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed his orthopedic residency at Campbell Clinic in Memphis. He joined the Orthopedic Center in 2009.

He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He is also a member of the Legislative Council of the Louisiana State Medical Society.

Hale specializes in joint replacement surgery, including robotic-assisted hip and knee replacements; sports medicine; knee surgery; Shoulder surgery: Hip surgery: fracture care; Orthobiology and the treatment of arthritis.

LOA, an affiliate of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, is a statewide, professional membership organization of orthopedic surgeons, orthopedic residents and allied health care providers that promotes specialty care through physician education and legislative initiatives.

The Wells Clinic joins the memorial

Crylow began serving the health care needs of the Welsh community in 2008 when she opened the Welsh Clinic.

Krylow earned her registered nursing license at LSUE, followed by a 10-year role in the ICU at Jennings American Legion Hospital. She furthered her education by earning a Masters in Nursing at McNeese State University and began practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. In the year In 2011, she received her doctorate in nursing practice from Texas Christian University.

Hunter was appointed To describe the task force

Lake Charles Mayor Nick Hunter He was appointed by the Louisiana Municipal Association to serve in one of two seats on the Louisiana Task Force on Early Voting.

The purpose of the early voting task force, created by Senate Resolution 152 in the 2022 regular session, is to provide “recommendations along with specific legislative proposals” regarding early voting, taking into account the “cost, voting locations and” Logistical and administrative challenges associated with early elections.

McMurry has been named to the WCCH board

SULFUR – West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital Board of Commissioners welcomed S. Mark McMurry As the new Commissioner representing the Sulphur/Carlisle area.

McMurry was appointed to the Calcasieu Parish Police Department in December 2022 to serve out his term of service. Frank A. LaBarbera JrServed for over 18 years.

McMurry serves as president of McMurry Leadership and Management, and holds a degree in public administration from Louisiana State University. Prior to his current role, he served as Parish Administrator for the Calcasieu Parish Police Department until his retirement in 2010. McMurry has been active in the community, serving as a board member of various business and civic associations. He has received numerous awards for his continued commitment to the community, including the 2003 Statewide Public Service Award from the Louisiana Public Health Association for his support of public health efforts and activities in the community and state.

Current members serving on the WCCH Board of Commissioners include the Chairman Robert “Bob” Davidson Sulfur, vice chairman Ricky Watson of Vinton, Bobby Letard of Westlake and Carol “Bobby” Source Hackberry.

Coke was named to the Chamber Board

Southwest Louisiana Council Appoints CSE Federal Credit Union President/CEO Matt Koch Vice Chair of the Board of Directors and Education and Workforce for the 2023 term.
