Le Maire Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2023 Collection

From the moment the show began, the Lemaire Fall/Winter 2023 show was an experience like no other. Preparing the audience for a cold winter’s day in Paris, each audience member received a wool and cashmere blanket scarf to keep warm as the show began.

Taking cues from the immersive experience of the SS23 collection, where audience members were able to walk through the collection as opposed to the traditional seating format, Lemaire created an experience that allowed them to see the everyday movement worn by everyday people. Unlike a traditional runway show where one model walks the runway one at a time, the models are seen walking back and forth, intertwining with each other, creating a natural scene often seen on metropolitan streets.

Lemaire wants the audience to think of the collection as everyday use. Layering was a major focal point in the collection, with coats paired with jumpsuits and cozy sweaters and oversized puffer jackets. Boxy silhouettes continue to reign as the collection exudes comfort and effortless elegance. Bomber leather jackets with exaggerated feathers in wool are ready for the next cold weather. Monochromatic suiting is still a common style in Lemaire’s look, and this collection focused on earth tones for a subtle look.

In other Paris Fashion Week runway shows, Bianca Saunders’ FW23 runway show was performance art.
