They give us opportunities to enjoy each other and make friends in life. Friendship is important. They are ways for all of us to feel accepted and loved by others who are not blood relatives. Befriending family is okay and always encouraged, but sometimes it’s nice to have a listening ear that isn’t as closely related as family members. Does it seem strange to think of making friends with the God of the universe, especially since we can’t physically see or touch him? We might benefit from examining what qualities make friendships stronger: time, communication, honesty, loyalty. Friendship with God includes these qualities. If we really want to know Him more, listen to Him, be faithful to Him and love Him, we can experience the joy of friendship with God. In what ways can we show that we have a good relationship with God?

Romans 5:11- Because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends with God, we can rejoice in our new relationship with God.

Simple acts of kindness can have a profound impact on our lives. Showing kindness to other people is not difficult and acts of kindness always seem to perpetuate the goodness of people. One of my favorite sayings is “by lifting others we rise”, and kindness is a way to lift others spiritually and ultimately ourselves. God rewards kindness because it is unconditional love, the hallmark of the Christian. True kindness is not an act, but a lifestyle. We can show kindness in the little things we do until we are truly kind in all situations. Kindness is not motivated by rewards, but we value our kindness. What small kindness can we show someone today? What can we do to show kindness to someone we don’t like or know?

Matthew 10:42-42 NASV – If you give a cup of cold water to one of the least of my followers, you will surely be rewarded.

Love is superior to all human qualities, it is God’s own quality. Love includes selfless service; This shows that you really care, whether or not someone thinks back. Faith is the basis and content of God’s message; Hope is attitude and focus; But love is action. Love confirms that our faith and hope are real. To whom can we show kindness today?

1 Corinthians 13:4-7, 13 — Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or arrogant or proud or rude. He doesn’t ask for his own way. It doesn’t get angry, and it doesn’t keep any record of being abused. He does not rejoice in injustice, but rejoices when truth prevails. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and perseveres in all circumstances… Three things last forever – faith, hope and love – and the greatest of these is love.

Happiness comes from simple and natural things: mist on a field, sunlight on leaves, moon path on water. In closing, let’s all live, love and laugh without limits! We rise by lifting others!
