It’s time to talk about my favorite six-letter word: travel. I really like it, and the older I get, the more I like it. Maybe it’s because I’m stuck on “stuff”; There is only so much room. However, I cherish the opportunity to go to new places, experience new cultures and try new foods (mostly, the food but whatever).
I’ve found a few travel hacks that have made my life easier, from logging into TSA Pre-Check (which costs $80 for five years) to checking in at the airport to sorting your toiletries once. calm down. Some of the favorites listed below include a portable charger (a lifesaver walking the streets of New York City), those packing and packing cubes, and a blanket-pillow combo that makes any space cozier.

Trip on the lock
If you’re traveling more than two hours, chances are you’re catching a flight. And, if you’re booking a flight, you’re dealing with the TSA. These cable luggage locks have a resettable combination and best of all, they are TSA approved. Choose an easy-to-remember three-digit code and enjoy the rugged flexibility of a tight-knit alloy cable lock.
Lift a leg (or two).
You made it through security and maybe bought a $5 bottle of soda; Now, you can sit back and put your feet up – literally. This airport leg lounge will make you the envy of everyone around you as you kick back in ultimate comfort. Slide it around the front seat tray and adjust the strap to the desired length. When not in use, it folds flat for easy storage.
Juice on the loose
I can’t say enough good things about this mini portable charger with the cord built in. This super compact option doesn’t require cords or cables (or even to stop what you’re doing to find an outlet). It’s 3350mAh capacity, which isn’t the biggest you’ll find, but when you’re hitting the pavement or sidewalk, you’ll only need enough juice to get you to your next destination.
The leader of the pack
I can’t stress enough the importance of this one crucial element that is the unsung hero of travel – your hands. There’s nothing like having your hands free when you’re sightseeing or walking around the airport. This men’s or women’s fanny pack is compact but has all the pockets you need to easily hold your phone, passport, wallet and more. I really like the dedicated headphone cable port.
One bag to manage them all
Not a fanny pack kind of person? I understand that. I often prefer to pack a much larger bag myself. I might swap this convertible bag for one, and I love the color in the picture, “Portobello Shimmer.” This bag has matching removable wrist and luggage handle for easy movement. It is lightweight and water resistant for extra brown dots.

If you buy something from this list, make it this bag, which comes in two sizes and 10 colors.

Take notes
An action-packed trip back to New York City, and everywhere I went, I noticed one thing: people were recording or photographing the moment instead of simply being. in moment. Maybe it’s the writer in me, but travel memories come back to me more when I write them down. These luxury notebooks look smart and more than meet the needs when traveling.

Vacuum storage bags are for people who want to test the boundaries. (I mean what I said.) They’re pretty comfortable, though, coming from a series borderline tester. You get up to 80 percent more storage and the hand pump is more travel-friendly than a heavy battery-powered one. These come in multiple sizes and packs of up to 10.
Rotate these bottles
Whenever I’m packing for a trip, my toxic self is feeling like I need new silicone travel bottles. These are TSA-approved sizes, easy to fill, and compact enough to extract the contents. Below the belt
What is the difference between a fanny pack and a belt bag? A fanny pack rests on your, ahem, fanny, while a belt pouch is worn closer to the waist. This mini belt bag is the perfect size with a strap that you can wear in different ways. Lightweight and easy to carry (no hands, remember?), it’s perfect for your phone, wallet, passport, keys and more.

Use as a pillow or cover it with a generous blanket in one of five different colors.
