Cowboy boots were originally meant to be functional – from, er, common sense Cowboys on the mind – they are now a fashion staple. Although they have faded from the zeitgeist in recent decades, Gen Z and millennials will occupy the mainstream of the West in 2022.

Over the years, we’ve seen cowboy boots make frequent appearances on the runways. Ralph Lauren pioneered the rugged silhouette in the late 70’s as part of a chic western wear collection. Almost 30 years later, Alexander McQueen sent a boldly cut reincarnation of pink and white high heels to Givenchy’s spring 1998 show. Since then, countless brands such as Celine, Fendi, Isabel Marant and Ghani have followed, releasing their own iterations of the classic style.

If you’re more into pop culture than water like me, you’ll probably be rocking it by celebrities (read: Selena Gomez, Rihanna, and Taylor Swift to name a few) in skinny jeans, mini skirts, and sundresses.

Now, the love for the western style seems more alive than ever. Like many nouveau riche trends experiencing a resurgence, cowboy boots are on the rise – from Tik Tok to Instagram and of course on the streets. Cowgirl beauty is at its peak my friends.
