What’s with four wheels and bolts and boutique-style clothing? Megan Curry has created a food truck that’s the equivalent of her favorite local clothing store — and a Vancouver fashion truck is popping up in the Lower Mainland. Equal parts fashion and flexibility, the trendy mobile boutique operates on “here today, gone tomorrow”.
As for where she started, Currie explains on her website that she knew the retail landscape was changing before the pandemic hit.
“After visiting local festivals and fairs and looking at the possibility of having a small mobile shop, I decided to move and put my business on wheels so that I could easily “pop up”.
Signature purchase parties
The truck usually pops up at markets or public events, but people can book their own private “shopping parties” through their website. The practice can pop up anywhere, as long as there is a flat place for the car to park and an electrical outlet.
The most popular package brings the truck to your home. What can customers expect? Up to 10 of your friends can get together for a little personal shopping, one-on-one outfit matching and style tips. In addition, 10% of the party’s sales goes toward the host’s purchases — a total of at least $750 in spending.
Parties are available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The items
Now, for the clothes. The current collection focuses on everyday pieces that can be worn ‘from day to night’, including floral blouses, oversized cardigans, flattering jeans, graphic tees, summer dresses and more. New arrivals arrive every week, so you’re sure to find some great new pieces to spice up your wardrobe.
And if you can’t pick up some of your favorite items – there’s an online store and warehouse in Burnaby that you can check out once Currie hits the road. Customers can use the ‘Find the truck’ function to see where the truck is coming next.
That’s all for now folks! Keep your eyes peeled for Vancouver Fashion Cars and we’ll be back with you soon.
