Women’s tennis features a fall slate – Georgia Tech’s Yellow Jackets

The plates – Georgia Tech women’s tennis will compete in five tournaments starting in September to prepare for the tournament spring slate.

Tech will open its fall slate at the Debbie South Furman Fall Classic Sept. 16-18 before sending select individuals to the ITA All-American Championships in Cary, NC, Oct. 3-9.

The team will return to the courts to host the ITA Southeast Regionals at the Ken Byers Tennis Complex, Oct. 14-17. Some of the best women’s tennis players in the country, regional doubles champions and regional singles champions and finalists will compete in rounds 2-6 of the ITA National Fall Championships in San Diego, California.

Following regionals, the Jackets will participate in the Tennessee Fall Invitational in Knoxville, Oct. 28-30, before completing their tournament slate at the ITA National Fall Championships. In addition, selected individuals will compete in two USTA Pro tournaments during the fall draft.

Georgia Tech welcomes new arrivals. Alexandra Cruz (Mexico City, Mexico) The 2022-23 roster and nine letterwinners of the 2022 team reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Among Tech’s nine returning lettermen are four ITA All-Americans from last season Kylie Bilchev (Ipswich, England) Ava Hrastar (Duluth, Ga.) Carol Lee (Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands) and Kate Sharabura (Atlanta, Ga.)
