At first, six-year-old Bao Zi was too scared to travel, but as time went by, she lost the case.

This cat is sure to be in good shape after traveling to Italy and Paris.
A couple from Boston have taken their cat Bao Zi all over the world – and so far she’s been to five countries, 45 states and 22 national parks.
Helen Vincent, 34, and her husband Alice, 38, have been traveling a lot in the past two years after their careers took them far due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We started this lifestyle during Covid when both of our jobs were remote,” Vincent told Caters. “We used to live in the city and we always felt that there was something missing in our lives.”
However, if they wanted to travel, they knew they had to bring their six-year-old half Maine Coon hound, Bao Zi.
They told the news agency that they usually decide where they are going in the next five days and want to move every week.
The pair describe her as more dog-like than cat-like, as she is very attached to the two and is extremely adventurous.
And even though Bao Zi was nervous about their first trip, she’s warmed to budgeting more time and is now an “easy traveler.”
“She loves car rides and sleeps until we get to our destination,” Vincent said.
The couple said she was completely calm even on long-haul flights.
“She’s happier and healthier than ever,” Vincent says of their cat. She had all kinds of medical problems that were cleared up when we started traveling with her when she was four.
When traveling, Bao Zi is comfortable in a purple-and-gray cat carrier that couples can strap onto their backs.
They also got her a leash to use the dog-style bathroom. Bao Zi also has a travel litter box in case of an emergency.
“She enjoyed walking on the leash when she was going out in the bathroom, and eventually she was the one who started walking,” Vincent said.
However, the couple are keen to make sure their cat is safe and said it will help them be more active, especially when they are out walking.
“She examines the world from a different angle, helps us notice things that we wouldn’t otherwise notice,” the mother cat explained.
So far, some of her favorite places to travel are Utah, because Bao Zi loves the desert and Slough Canyon, as well as Arkansas, where she loves to kayak.
Outside the country, Bao Zi has been welcomed in France, where the couple are able to take her to explore cafes, stores and museums as it is a “very pet-friendly country”.
The trio are currently in Paris and Italy, and the list includes the American Southwest – namely Arizona and New Mexico, where they will all be staying for two months.
“The most amazing part is the opportunity to experience the world through her eyes,” Vincent said.
