– Seattle-area technology executive Denise Walter has been named chief revenue officer of cybersecurity firm Darktrace.
Walter joins the company from cloud services giant VMware, where she was most recently vice president of sales. She has also held senior roles at Cisco, Openwave Systems, Sybase Software and Netscape Communications.
– Seattle-based cybersecurity company WatchGuard Technologies has hired Simon Yu as senior vice president of operations. Yoo was previously Chief Information Officer at Barracuda Networks and held executive roles at Upwork, Tout.com, Meebo and LoudCloud.
– Oregon Venture Fund appointed Deepthi Madhava as a partner. Madhava has been an investor at OVF since 2020 and an investor-in-residence since January 2022. She previously spent over 11 years at Deloitte, where she assisted in conducting due diligence on behalf of private equity clients.
– Bryce Hein is now the Chief Marketing Officer of Sysdig, a San Francisco-based computer and network security company. Hein previously spent six years at a Seattle security company Extrahop, most recently as Chief Marketing Officer. He took off from ExtraHop in August.
— Joseph Staten, partner and creative lead on Halo Infinite at 343 Industries, is set to rejoin Xbox Publishing, Bloomberg reports. Staton was previously a senior creative director at Microsoft for seven years.
– Beverly Jackson is now Vice President of Product and Brand Marketing at Zillow.She moves from Twitter, where she was vice president of global brand and consumer marketing.
— Sue Iverson, also chief people officer, is planning to retire. from Bellevue, Wash. based startup, which improves online streaming, reading and podcasting experiences.
– Alicia Boller Davis, CEO of Alto Pharma, will join the board of directors of JP Morgan Chase. Boller Davis previously held executive roles at Amazon and General Motors and is a board member at General Mills.
– Georgia Perez, formerly vice president of strategic growth and emerging markets at real estate software company MoxiWorksis now the Chief Development Officer of Columbus, Ohio-based homeowner concierge platform MoveEasy.
