Virginia Tech lacrosse honors seniors.

A two-time member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll, Michaela will graduate with a degree in public relations. As a student-athlete at Tech, she was a reporter and writer for Uncut Blacksburg, a story platform for student-athletes. As a junior and senior, Michaela participated in Virginia Tech’s Next Level Leadership Program, which helps student-athletes develop leadership skills to take to their teams and workplaces. Some of her favorite memories of her time at Tech include beating UVa and JMU on the road, along with game days at Lane Stadium with her teammates and friends.

#17 Jordan Tilley
Protector
Baltimore, MD.

Tilley has appeared in 75 games over the past five seasons for the Hokies. She is currently imprisoned for 4.^Th Has resulted in 82 career changes in program history, 10 at the position^Th All-time in ground balls, 113. A four-time member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll, Jordan will graduate with a master’s degree in public health. After serving as a representative of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for one year, she served as the organization’s vice president for the past two years and co-chaired the committee’s Diversity and Inclusion Task Force. Jordan serves as a student representative for the Claire Marie Foundation, which raises awareness for melanoma. Her favorite hockey memories include beating JMU for the first time in program history, the team’s trip to Coastal Carolina last season and caroling around the athletic facility last summer.

#18 Riley Hayden
Protector
South Riding, Va

A two-time member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll, Riley will graduate with a degree in human nutrition, food and exercise science. She has served as the team’s outreach representative for the past two years, coordinating team community service events such as the packed food drive with Micah Backpack, Special Olympics, Hockey for a Day and Team Impact. Riley served as the team representative for Morgan’s Message, an organization that aims to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health and student-athletes. As a HokieHiFive leader, she mentors freshmen entering the HNFE program at Tech. Riley’s favorite memories of her career include last year’s win over JMU and this year’s triple overtime win over Duke, the annual Derby Day and Christmas party with her teammates.

#19 Jesselyn Lazore
Attacker
Akwesasne Nation, NY

Lazore has 15 goals and 10 assists in 27 games for the Hokies. A three-time ACC Academic Honor Roll member, she will graduate with a degree in Residential Environment and Design. Jesselyn has participated in the Next Level Leadership Program since her sophomore year and is a member of the American Indian Sciences and Engineering Society, an organization that promotes Indigenous representation in STEM fields. She served as social media manager for Native in VT and was heavily involved in creating a family-centered environment for Native and Indigenous students at Virginia Tech. Her favorite memories include the team’s big wins over JMU and Duke, jumping into the Sandman before games and hanging out with her teammates at the Green Street house.

#26 Hannah Mardini
Attacker
Lutherville, MD.

Mardini had 31 goals and 12 assists in two seasons with the Hokies. She has scored 43 goals and 29 assists in 63 games for her career. A member of the 2022 ACC Academic Honor Roll, Hannah will major in Human Development. Since joining the Hokies prior to the 2022 season, she has had nine multi-goal games, including a three-goal, three-assist performance against VCU last year. Off the field, she serves as the team’s unofficial wedding officiant, president of Lunch Pail Lane and works in the training room. Hannah mentions meeting her childhood friend, referring to soccer games. Jordan TilleyHer favorite memory at Tech is the team’s triple overtime win over Duke.

#32 Lizzie Laurer
Protector
Alexandria, Va.

Lohrer has appeared in 60 games for the Hokies since 2019. She owns 51 ground balls and has 35 career turnovers at Tech. A three-time member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll, Lizzie graduated last spring with a bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s in agricultural and applied economics. Some of her favorite memories of her time at Blacksburg include traveling to California and Canada her freshman year, watching JMU and Notre Dame win last season. Jordan Tilley Earlier this season, she scored her first goal and was named team captain. Lizzie misses going to various Virginia Tech games and cheering on her fellow Hokies.

#45 Kayla Frank

Moorestown, NJ

Frank has 46 goals and 38 assists in 42 games at Virginia Tech. In her freshman season, she earned All-American and All-Rookie team honors in indoor lacrosse, leading all freshmen in the nation in scoring with 45 points. Kayla holds the record for most assists in a game in Virginia Tech history. She had eight assists in 2020 against Radford. A two-time member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll, she will graduate with a degree in sports media and analytics. Off the field, Kayla serves as the team’s social chair. Some of her favorite memories of her time at Virginia Tech include celebrating a triple overtime win over Duke, cheering in the locker room before games, football games and being together.
