Long-haul
You can also book these one way. These are not just for flights from Europe, as all long-haul destinations are valid in both directions. Flying Blue used to divide Europe into zones 1, 2 and 3, but seems to be using the designation Europa from now on.
Note that Europe must include all of the following countries for long-term awards.
Europe 1
Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Switzerland, Luxembourg
Europe 2
Austria, Balearic Islands, Finland, Denmark, Italy, Malta, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden
Europe 3
Albania, Algeria, Belarus, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Canary Islands, Croatia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Libya, Lithuania, Latvia, Macedonia, Moldova, Morocco, Poland, Romania, Western Russia Serbia , Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Tunisia, Ukraine.
Flying Blue has changed the taxes it collects on award tickets and mainly fuel surcharges, making economy awards a better deal than before. Additionally, what Air France-KLM now calls a “carrier-imposed international surcharge” is intended for premium economy, business and first class flights.
