Birmingham Queens Club introduces six business leaders at The Birmingham Mall on August 25 at The Fennec.

Birmingham Club is the world’s largest clubhouse with more than 540 members. Each year, Birmingham Chamber of Commerce selects business leaders each year to enter the prestigious Hall of Fame who have shown strong leadership and made a significant contribution to the Greater Birmingham area. Employees may live or die. The 105-year-old club is part of a mission to build a strong community.

Nelson’s many civic and charitable work includes the Central Alabama United Way and the American Cancer Society and has served on the board of the Birmingham Airport Authority. He is a member of the Birmingham Rotary Club and has served on the Birmingham Business Alliance Executive Committee.

Wood brothers
David W. Wood II and John H. Wood of Wood began their family business after the death of their father at an early age. A.D. By the time he retired in 2017, the company had grown from $ 10 million in sales to $ 400 million over 38 years.
David Wood, a Birmingham resident, is a graduate of Birmingham and currently in Alabama. He has served as a director of the Birmingham Airport Authority and the American Boy Scout. He is a board member of the Central Alabama Community Food Bank and has flown more than 60 flights to the Veteran Airlift Command, flying injured veterans to hospitals across the country.
John H. Wood, a Birmingham resident, a member of the Birmingham Queens Club and has served in a number of leadership positions at the Presbyterian Church in the United States.
The company’s website states that when the brothers retired, they handed over the business to a fourth-generation family – a large proportion of 3% to 5% of family businesses.
