This airline’s blurb sold 10,000 Asia-America business class tickets for $300.

The airline did not disclose how many individuals were able to purchase cheaper tickets.

According to a report in the New York Post, a Japanese airline has unknowingly reduced the price of some business class tickets, so many passengers were able to get $10,000 (Rs 8.2 lakh) tickets for $300 (roughly Rs. 24,000).

Since 2013, All Nippon Airways (ANA), a 5-star airline and Japan’s largest airline, has offered low-cost flights from Indonesia’s capital, Jakarta, to Japan, then to New York and back to Singapore and Bali. Amazingly, a flyer paid just $890 (Rs 73,000) for a first class ticket from Jakarta to the Caribbean via Tokyo and New York and back.

The 9,000-mile flight will cost lucky travelers “about 20 times as much as a first-class seat,” according to the NYP.

According to the outlet, other shoppers bought business-class tickets for a few hundred dollars, compared to the standard $10,000. Business class tickets on the airline range in price from $8,300 (Rs 6.8 lakh) to $10,400 (Rs 8.5 lakh), but are listed at $300 to $550 (Rs 45,000).

Johnny Wong, an airline employee, told Bloomberg that he paid $550 for a business class ticket from Jakarta to Honolulu. According to the outlet, the cost of the flight is now $ 8,200 (6.7 thousand rupees).

According to ANA, the problem was caused by a problem with their Vietnam website, which displayed an incorrect currency exchange.

The airline did not say how many individuals were able to purchase cheap tickets, but said it was “investigating the cause of the problem and the extent of the damage.”

The airline plans to make a decision by the end of the month, but discount tickets used before May will be honored, an AMA official said.
