SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, March 23, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — inGroup® International LLC has made the difficult decision to suspend new member registrations on its website. https://www.incruises.com/ Who are the inhabitants of Poland? Additionally, the company has stopped accepting payments from all existing Polish members.

Polish inGroup customers with travel reservations are not affected. And existing members can use their rewards points in full to book future travel, or request a refund. In any case, existing Polish members are fully protected and bound by this decision.

This intra-group decision is the result of an erroneous assessment of the inCruises® membership offer by the Polish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKIK).

In the year In March 2021, UOKIK published a list of cryptocurrencies they thought might be scams. Interestingly, the inCruises membership offer is included in this list. inGroup has never done any cryptocurrency business. However, despite repeated calls to remove our name from this list due to its defamatory nature, UOKIK refuses to accept the legitimate and legitimate nature of the inCruises membership business model.

In response to this detail, inGroup retained legal counsel in Poland and engaged with regulators, providing everything requested to clear this situation. The founders and senior executives of inGroup have spent many hours with government officials to resolve this issue. At these meetings, when it became known that they could not name us as a cryptocurrency scheme as originally published, in the end an obscure Polish law unique to Poland was called “Consortium or Argentinian scheme”.

According to this vague law, Polish companies cannot collect customer funds in order to better negotiate with third-party suppliers and offer discounts to their customers. inGroup confirmed this is not How our business model works.

inGroup also emphasized this process:

#1 – We didn’t target Poland on purpose. We have never made any mass advertising efforts, nor do we offer our website in Poland to sell our membership or related services in Poland.
#2 – Polish residents found our offer online, purchased our membership and booked our travel services from our US territory website.
#3 – Our model complies with the Polish Legal Network Marketing Business Model Statement. We sell membership services to our members at true market value.
#4 – Since July 2016, every inCruises member has saved money on every cruise booked as a group. All rewards points earned are immediately available on bookings from the first day of membership.
#5 – Even if members stop paying, their rewards points never expire, so they never lose travel value. Additionally, all membership fees must be insured against any unforeseen event that may occur within the group.

Ingroup International CEO Michael Hutchison traveled to Warsaw in June 2022. He praised the Polish government’s efforts to welcome refugees from Ukraine. Similarly, inGroup has been helping residents of Ukraine.

As part of this decision, existing Polish members can request a refund of their available (2 for 1) reward points. Refunds are calculated based on unused reward points minus any travel benefits. Or existing Poland members can keep their valuable reward points for travel bookings without incurring any additional membership fees. Therefore, members will continue to benefit from this valuable service that has helped hundreds of thousands of cruise passengers travel more globally and at less cost.

Despite this setback, the Group will continue to engage with fair-minded and sincere members of the Polish government to create a way forward in which Polish residents can actively participate in membership and benefit from the outstanding offer.
