The Nordstrom flagship launched a designer pop-up celebrating New York fashion and designers

New York City’s flagship Nordstrom store is showcasing some of New York’s most celebrated designers in a new pop-up this fall.

The flagship store at 225 W 57th Street officially launched the “New York” center stage on September 7th. The pop-up will feature eight designers, each designing a capsule themed “Dressing for Power.”

Participating designers are Carolina Herrera, Kite, Gabriela Hearst, Joseph Altuzarra, Saint Cintra, Commission and Proenza Schouler in fashion and Lynn Yager in jewelry. At Nordstrom Women’s Designer Fashion and Editorial Director Ricky De
Individually, each capsule highlights soft, powerful displays of sharp tailoring, touches of leather and bold garments with strong luxe fabrics, all of which encapsulate the New York aesthetic. Yeager’s display includes a selection of her favorite designer jewelry, including David Webb
Statement rings, Sophie Billie Brahe pearls, pomelato necklaces and Harwell Godfrey charm pendants are among Nordstrom’s selections on tap.

In addition to the designer capsules, Greenwich Village’s American Bar at Nordstrom will be popping up on Level 3 at Broadway Bar for the month. New York-based luxury shoe brand Stuart Weitzman will take over Nordstrom’s Shoe Bar on Lower Level 1 with exclusive branded cocktails and on-site customization offerings.

To celebrate the launch of the “New York” Center stage, Nordstrom will host a storewide event on September 17 where customers can enjoy custom activations from Colina Strada, Marc Jacobs, Stuart Weitman, Mansur Gavriel, Lingua Franca, Ula Johnson, Tom. Ford and Lt
Labo. During the event, patrons can enjoy live music performances and giveaways.
