ALEXANDRIA, VA – The Alexandria Chamber of Commerce announced today (August 19) that the deadline to submit applications for the Best in Business Awards has been moved to August 28.
“Chamber ALX annually honors businesses for their significant role in driving Alexandria’s business community and economic growth,” reads the email announcing the change.
Applications are accepted for five categories: Small Business, Medium Business, Large Business, Association/Nonprofit and Rising Star.
Rising Star is a category for businesses that have been operating for five years or less.

Winners will be announced at an in-person awards ceremony on Thursday, October 27. The 2022 Best in Business Awards are presented by Burke & Herbert Bank.
Land use attorney Cathy Puskar has been named Alexandria’s 2022 Business Leader of the Year.
