The Cayman Islands government has announced exciting changes for international travel. According to a statement from the Department of Tourism, the Caribbean country is lifting all remaining Covid-related restrictions from next Wednesday, August 24.
This means that all foreign visitors – vaccinated and unvaccinated – are allowed to enter the Cayman Islands without presenting any additional health-related documents and submitting a travel authorization certificate prior to travel.

The British Overseas Territory’s newly announced policy changes include lifting mask-wearing obligations in the destination.
Before the change, only fully vaccinated passengers were allowed to cross into the Cayman Islands without quarantine or screening. Currently, the only unvaccinated foreign visitors allowed to enter without quarantine are those under the age of 12. Unvaccinated visitors over the age of 12 are still required to complete a seven-day quarantine upon arrival.
Also until August 24, travelers visiting the islands as a cruise are required to complete their vaccination course at least 14 days before boarding their ship, and unvaccinated children under 12 will only be allowed to disembark if fully accompanied. Vaccinated adult.
Pre-arrival test requirements for international tourists to the Cayman Islands were previously waived and there are no remaining rules regarding inter-island travel.
