The Spring-Summer 2023 New York Fashion Week season is in full swing.. At the start of Fashion Month, New York City is setting a precedent for three other cities to follow.
There are more than 100 brands on the official schedule this season, including Environment, Tommy Hilfiger and Tom Ford, returning to the coveted calendar. Italian labels like Fendi and Marni jumped into the pond to jump on all the action.
Many brands are celebrating milestones, including Proenza Schouler, which kicks off the week on its 20th anniversary, Fendi celebrates 25 years of its iconic baguette bag, and Proenza Schouler, which celebrates 75 years of Puma Call.

Tommy Hilfiger
Despite the heavy rain Tommy Factory The American designer’s Fall 22 runway show paid tribute to the great American artist Andy Warhol’s iconic NYC factory, which brought together fashion, art, music and entertainment.

Marnie
Marni creative director Francesco Risso lit up the cobblestone streets of DUMBO, presenting collections inspired by celestial movements. Sun silhouettes were prominent throughout the collection as models took the runway. “A sunset is not an event on the horizon, but a physical event – it sets the sky on fire.
Altuzarra
Joseph Altuzarra knows all about fit. Crafted umbrellas with precise cuts and broad shoulders featured waist cut silhouettes and adjustable designs in the collection. “We wanted to create different characters this season and decided to create hair looks from curly, organic ‘mohawks’ to natural waves and textured bobs, this collection speaks of individuality and celebration,” the designer said at the show. Fendi
On the 25th anniversary Fendi Baguette, the house left its headquarters in Milan for New York City to present their SS23 resort show. Creative director Kim Jones collaborated with longtime friend Marc Jacobs. The standing bag marries the iconic baguette shape with Jacobs’ viral “tote bag” lettering.

During the outbreak, fans first became obsessed with Hilary Taymor’s designs, with her hats, oversized tees and joggers adding a stylish touch to her home-from-home outfits. This season, the sustainability-focused brand offers dress options from dip-dyed silk corsets and form-fitting dresses.
Proenza Schouler
Co-Creative Directors and Founders Jack McCullough and Lazaro Hernandez marry the passionate and fiery qualities of Lazaro’s Latin roots with Jack’s practical and passionate American experience to create a rich and vibrant narrative. The collection showcases a series of sensual, tactile textures including stretchy terry tweed, shimmering techno leather, embossed lace and metallic cufflinks.
