Alex, 21, Yasmin, 19, Oliver, 18, Zane, 14, Amali, 12, and Tassia, 10, became the first caregivers after splitting up with their mother.

‘I have raised my children in a family court,’ says Umsh. “Their mother soon passed away. It was hard for them but we got it all together. I loved my job but at that time I left my job to raise my children.”

This was part of an effort to repatriate more than a million refugees in collaboration with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Microsoft, and the United Nations in the aftermath of the Kosovo war.

His knowledge continued and he was called upon by NATO and the Ministry of Defense to deal with other refugee crises.

But for the most part in the last two decades, he has put his work second to raise his children.

When the lock was removed, Umesh set up his own company, Iozat, in his family’s Edwardian cottage.

Alex, 21, Izmin, 19, Oliver, 18, Zane, 14, Amali, 12, and Tassia, 10, became the first caregivers after splitting up with their mother.

The broadcasting, production and distribution technology company he founded has already expanded to include needs in intellectual property, OTT platforms, proprietary compression technology, advertising and gaming platforms.

Umesh’s daily program makes it a tedious read – tailored to the needs of different time zones as the children and staff.

Umesh will start at 5am and plow in your email inbox. At 6:00 a.m., he will begin his day-to-day meetings with teams in India and Singapore on their work days and at their tables.

I have a strong belief that my family will love me when I prepare food and gather together to cut bread and share those special moments around beautiful food.

Their staff is well-digested, and reports that they must be completed by 8 o’clock in the afternoon.

He will return to the table at 9 a.m., ready to face the desired working day, and their European offices are now in the stream of communication.

At 1pm, he would stop at the company and go to the kitchen and knock on the door of one of the famous Sri Lankan carols.

Umesh’s older children – Alex, Yasmin and Oliver – all often work for their father on various projects. And to eat with him. Alex spends most of his time with students, including Jasmine and Oliver.

As I cook, my family loves it and I have a strong belief that I will be able to cut bread and share those special moments around beautiful food. I teach myself in the kitchen but the reviews I get are good… although maybe my kids are biased! ‘

Umesh and his older children return to their tables in the afternoon to continue their work – their colleagues in North and South America are now entering their work day. Their Asian friends are having a good night.

It’s 3:00 pm and it’s time for the high school. Gathering Zane, Amali and Tassia.

When they come home from school, their favorite activity is to try out any new software or application that their father was working on that day. ‘I tell them homework comes first and then they are allowed to do fun things.’

He himself works during the day until nightfall.

Umesh admits that it is not easy to balance the needs and desires of six children when running an international company.

‘It was a very difficult time,’ he says. “I have to be their father, I share unlimited love, affection and support, and I show the value of diligence.

But while discipline is important, when I know I’m soft in my heart, I try my best to balance it. Like every parent, I make many mistakes along the way and every day is a humble learning experience. ‘

Alex’s son, Alex, is now the head of the Ioz network, and his father is the boss.

‘He is not a normal father and he is involved in all aspects of life,’ says Alex. This includes the family – even brushing women’s hair in the morning.

‘For him, it’s not the separation between work and life, it’s about‘ life ’- trying to do the right thing.

“The company’s focus on media and gaming was primarily based on our children’s interests and it regularly consults us on business decisions and products,” he added.

Using his years of computer networking skills, Umesh began building a platform that he felt could compete with the world’s largest technology companies.

“It sounds crazy right now, but I knew it was going to be great,” he said.

Now, with millions of pounds in deals and our own Sky Channel launch, it’s easy for people to understand the potential, we reach thirty million monthly viewers, but I have no doubt in my mind that everything will change. ‘
