CDT Tech Talk is a podcast about tech and internet policy, explaining what these policies mean for our everyday lives. You can find Tech Talk on Spotify, SoundCloud, iTunes and Google Podcasts, as well as Stitcher and TuneIn.

And we’re back! For our inaugural Class of 2023, we’re excited to invite you to join Kate Starbird, Associate Professor in the Department of Design and Engineering at the University of Washington’s Human Center, CDT’s own Will Adler, Senior Technologist at the Elections and Democracy Project. Alia Bhatia, Policy Analyst at the Free Thought Project to Sit Together. Jamal takes us through an in-depth look at the ways misinformation and disinformation can have a devastating impact on electoral integrity and trust, both at home and abroad.

The discussion will explore misconceptions about what disinformation is and whether the term “disinformation” is a useful term anymore (“rumor”), as well as important work being done by research consortiums such as the Partnership for Election Integrity.
