Montgomery, Ala – On a day filled with rain delays, the Texas Tech Red Raiders closed out the Blue Gray Tennis Classic with a 4-3 victory over the No. 38 Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday night.
Overall, Tech went 1-2 in the tournament, losing its two losses to No. 36 Auburn 4-2 and Tulane 4-3. Tulane came back to tie the game at 3-3 when Rafael De Alba hit six on the court. Azoidis is locked in a tough match against Alex Banchila and approaches court four. Azouidis took the lead 6-3 before Banchila finished 6-4 in the second. The Green Wave player came back from a 7-5 lead in the third set to take the match 4-3 at Tulane.
