Stephens Memorial Hospital 2022 Annual Fund
As a not-for-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of people like you to help us provide the best possible care for our patients. Annual giving donors are essential to meeting the hospital’s ongoing needs. Recently, annual giving has helped fund the purchase of much-needed medical equipment, including a new MRI machine and breast tomosynthesis scanner; secured our partnership with the Maine Medical Center/Tufts Medical student program, and provided funds to relocate and expand our cancer care program. This year when you make a gift to our annual fund, you can designate what program you would to support:
- PACE Paramedic Renovations: Each year, PACE paramedic crews respond to over 4,900 emergencies in our community and provide critical transport services between health care facilities. The volume of calls has increased significantly over the past two years and this trend is expected to continue. Our trained paramedics and EMTs are ready to respond to the anticipated increase in demand, but we need your help. The PACE paramedic building requires significant updates and renovations to address HVAC needs, provide private sleeping quarters and bathrooms for our increased number of personnel, and create adequate garage space to maintain and store the ambulances.
- Care Team Wellness: Every day, the care team at Stephens goes above and beyond for their patients. During these challenging times, they’re giving their all to ensure the health and well-being of those they are privileged to take care of, including your loved ones, neighbors, friends and maybe even yourself. Directing your annual fund donation to care team wellness will help fund wellness initiatives that support our care team.
Whether directed to PACE or care team wellness, your gift to Stephens is an investment in the health and well-being of your local community. When you give to Stephens Memorial Hospital, you help to ensure health care is available for all who need it, regardless of their ability to pay.
