Prague – Most Americans who visit the Czech Republic come through Prague – as I did when I arrived in Carlovi Vary on a Czech tourism business day. During that visit, I stayed in two properties that had just opened this spring. There are two blocks to each other and two blocks to the entrance to the old city of Prague.
• Andaz Prague, the first 176-room building in the Czech Republic, is housed in an impressive 1916 historic building.
Two original courtyards are now mirrors. One is the hotel bar, mesh, a very nice place and great for a party! The other old courtyard is part of a larger reception area and can be converted into events.
Due to the roof lines, the rooms on the top floor are aesthetically pleasing and feel like comfortable apartments.
Finally, the historic building is the starting point for design themes inspired by local history and fairy tales. An architect moved to the city’s Jewish quarter and assistant Golem. One room in my room seemed to support a mirror and the other a bedside lamp.
Classes start at around $ 405 (0 390), single accommodation, and $ 448 (430 euros), double, breakfast included. All rates include free but non-alcoholic minibuses stored on all Czech products. Guests in the collection can choose a free visit option. Andaz is a non-smoking property.

• George: The second home of Julius came, instead of in a mostly new construction, with two facets of high technology and sustainability. In addition, most rooms are suitable for long stays, with 124 out of 168 rooms having a kitchen. 93, with reclining sofas, can accommodate four guests.
High technology means no class phones. Guess they are strangers, and when they arrive, they install the property service app on their mobile phones. The device is designed to allow guests to enter, request service, order food from Julius inside or outside, interact with the station, do laundry and chat with the staff at the reception 24/7.
In the pursuit of green recognition, Julius promised non-smoking assets, sustainable materials and organic cotton products. He installed EV charging stations in the garage.
The property is part of Julius Mainell Living. The business began in 1862 when Julius Mainell opened a grocery store in Vienna. With several kitchens, Julius will open a grocery store on the site in September.
The minimum room price is $ 182 (5 175) for a small room with two kitchens.
